The Lord Mayor, Mr. Mostyn, who \s also assistant-secretary of the Electrical Trades Union, has been suspended by the organisation from the latter office for welcoming tho Duke and Duchess of York with all the pomp and splendour of the medieval ages, and in defiance of the mandate from the Tradir and Labour Council. ANNOUNCEMENT CORRECTED. Sydney, April 7. The president of the Electrical Trades Union states that Mr. Mostyn was not suspended from the assistant secretaryhip. A motion in favour of his suspension Was moved, but he ruled, as it involved serious and drastic action against an official, notice, would have to bo given before the matter could be decided. It therefore stands as a notice of motion for discussion at the next monthly meeting.
