POLL IN WELLINGTON CITY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Recently a deputation waited on the Mayor of the city and presented him with a petition signed by 4450 ratepayers asking that a poll bo taken to affirm or reject the principle that all city rates be levied on the basis of unimproved values. As more than the required fifteen per cent, of the ratepayers signed the requisition, the Mayor has acceded to the request, and a poll is announced to take place on April 27, the date of the municipal elections.
