ANXIETY OF BOARD MEMBER. (Special to News.) Auckland, Last Night. “Will they teach the fox trot and tin, Charleston?” asked a member of the Education Board at to-day’s meeting, when an application was received from th© Auckland Y.W.C.A. for the use of a room at the Myers Special i-ehool for a few hours during the week for the purpose of teaching country dancing. “No,” was the prompt reply of Mrs. N. E. Ferner, who explained that folk dancing was taught in connection with the gymnasium classes of the association. The chairman said the association was doing excellent work and, at his suggestion, the application was granted.
