SAFE TAKEN FROM PAVILION. By Telegraph.—Preu AMOeUtlon. Wellington, Jan. 7. An audacious burglarly was committed at Eastbourne, when the safe was removed from the Day’s Bay. pavilion, which is conducted by George Bird. It is understood that the safe contained the day’s takings. The lessee does not reside on the premises, and it is believed the intruders took advantage of this and removed the heavy safe under the covar of darkness. The police are investigating.
