MEETING AT AUCKLAND. NEW PLYMOUTH MAN’S SUCCESS. B» Telegraph.—Pres. Aasodaliaa. Auckland, Last Night. The 53rd annual meeting of the Auckland Rifle Association was concluded at Penrose yesterday. A splendid performance was given by G. E. Watt (City and Suburban), one of the youngest competitors, who, in the teams’ championship match, secured 49 out of a possible of 50. Tlie teams’ championship went to Akaroa B team, and F. Hogg (New Plymouth) was the winner of the King’s championship, which goes to the winner of a special match, shot off by the twenty who secure the highest aggregate in six matches. Hogg’s score was 317. S. Elliott (Akarana) was second with 315, and H. C. Evans (Te Kuiti) third with 311.
