SUMMER BLOOMS

HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY SHOW.

BEAUTIFUL DISPLAY OF FLOWERS.

Although the season has been anything but favourable, good entries of high quality were received for the annual summer show of the New Plymouth Horticultural Society held in the Workers’ Social Hall yesterday. The artistically arranged tables and a profusion of colours formed a beautiful sight, which warranted far better support by the public than was received. The show was in every way worthy of the society and its members, especially the secretary, Mr. G. H. McGahey, are deserving of the greatest credit.
