TRAINING TEACHERS
PROVISION OF NORMAL SCHOOLS.

Proviaion is made in the regulations iu the Gazette for the affiliation of an associated normal sclicol with each training college, in addition to the normal school which has hitherto been attached to each college. Both normal and associated normals are to be regarded as practising schools,. Members of the staffs of normal schools are deemed to be members of the staffs of the training colleges, and take such part in the tuition, training and supervision of students as the principal may direct, and the Director cf Education approve. Salaries are in accordance with the scale laid down in the regulations. Headmasters of such schools receive an allowjanee of £49 per annum and certain assistants £29 or £39.
