CLAIMS FOR DEBT

JUDGMENTS AT INGLEWOOD. Judgment by default was entered in the following undefended cases at Inglewood yesterday by Mr. R. W. Tate, S.M.: C. J. O'Neill V. J. Mischefski, £2 (costs £1 3s 6d); Inglewood County Council v. J. C. Commoner. £9 13s 6d (costs £1 10s 6d). Under a judgment summons, Frank Lawson was ordered to pay Harris and Co. £1 7s lOd forthwith, in default one day’s imprisonment. J. P. Adam was ordered to pay Edward .lohmson £7 9s lOd forthwith, in default seven days’ imprisonment. Leslie Blackbourne was ordered to pay Justice and Edmunds £9 Ils forthwith, in default nine days’ imprisonment, and £7 Ss to Hayward’s Vulcanising Company, in default seven days’ imprisonment. There was no appearance of Harold W. Brown, of Wellington, to prosecute bis claim for £165 commission on the sale of a hotel against J. S. O’Neill. On the application of defendant’s solicitor the case was struck out and costs amounting to £4 2s Cd were allowed.
