Herr Cuno has a pension of £lOOO, though he has also £l5OO ae manager of a prosperous steamship linft, while Dr. Luther, in addition to hie pension; receives £5OOO as director of the State railways. Fifteen hundred ex generals and a hundred ex-admirals share £2,000,000 per annum between them.
