ELTHAM FLOWER SHOW

A STRIKING D'SPLAY HIGH STANDARD MAINTAINED. THE FULL LIST OF AWARDS. One of the most successful flower shows ever held in Eltharn was opened in the Town Hall yesterday afternoon by His Worship the Mayor, Mr. Ira J. Bridger. It was the Methodist summer show and fancy fair. The blooms were, magnificent and a large crowd gathered to admire them in the afternoon and evening. At night the opportunity was taken of presenting the trophies and prizes. The show was officially declared open at 2 p.m. by the Mayor, who congratulated the exhibitors and the show officials on the excellence of the show, which was, in his opinion, one of the best ever staged in Eltharn. He wished the Methodists every success in .the various branches of tiie show and fair. The officials were: —President. Rev. W. IV. Avery; vice-president. Mr. R. Lewis; secretary and treasurer, Mr. F. R. Pepperell. These and their willing helpers and members of the committees are to be congratulated on t,lie success of the show. The prize list is as follows: POINTS PRIZES.
