DISTRICT NEWS.

RAHOTU. (iFrom Our Own Correspondent.) The Methodist Sunday School anniversary services took place last Sunday, but owing to- the damp and misty weather the- afternoon service was not as well attended as usual. At the evening service the church was well filled. The church was decorated with flowers. The service was conducted by Rev. Bake, well, and suitable hymns were sung by the children. The prizes were presented to the children. Little Miss Wilmar Murray sang a solo very sweetly. Mr. Gordon and Miss Jfillen Hughson are home from college for their holidays, and wc are glad to see them looking so bright und happy. The children are very busy preparing for their break-up concert, which takes place about the 17th. and there is to be wolfs, pigs and fairies at the concert, we hear. Mr. G. Dawson has badly scalded his foot and leg. Misfortune seems Co dog him.

LEPPERTOK. (From Our Own Correspondent.) This month the Methodist Bible Class and Sunday School are to hold their anniversary in the Methodist Church. Lcpperton is a small but busy place in connection with its Bible Class rallies and camp, and in consequence wc are now on the map. It is understood that the Girls’ Bible Class are to hold their camp In Lcpperton some time about Easber. Probably for the first time in tlie history of Lepperton wc are to have « band concert in our district, as the baud of the New Plymouth Salvation Army in coming out shortly.
