SUSPECTED ANARCHISTS

ARRESTED IN FRANCE. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received Nov. 3, 7.30 p.m. Paris, Nov. 2. The police have arrested 38 Spaniards and Italians in Perpignan, who are suspected of belonging to a revolutionary organisation. They were intending to enter Spain disguised as tourists. Field telephones and military equipment were found among their baggage. Received Nov. 3, 11.30 p.m. London, Nov. 3. A later message from Paris states that 17 persons of Spanish, English and Italian nationality were arrested at a railway station in Millas, eleven miles from Perpignan. Two Spaniards, with bombs in their possession, fled. The leader of the revolutionary band is stated to Jose Carillon, who was born in 1902 in Barcelona. At present he is a foreman at a sugar refinery and is living in Boulogne-sur-Seine. It is reported that he has been in relation with Francisco Hagia, a former colonel in the Spanish army, and at one time a member of the Cortes. It is alleged that on leaving Paris, Carillon received from a man named Raxon Mun ster 27,000 francs and an envelope containing instructions which he was not to read until he reached the frontier. The conspirator’s plan was to assemble at Estagel Bataille and Millas, whence they were to take the train to Villefranehe, whence they -would be directed across the frontier. On arrival in Spain they were to launch a revolutionary movement.
