LONDON MYSTERY HOUSE
OWNER LEAVES NO WILL. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Oct. 20. The Daily Mail states that the fortune of Mrs. Vetch, owner of the mystery house at Hyde Park gate, which was shut up for years, is estimated at £250,000. Neither will nor relatives have been discovered, which means that the money goes to the British Treasury. Received Oct. 21, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 20. It was revealed at the inquest on Mrs. Vetch, at which a verdict of death from natural causes was returned, that her body was poorly nourished and neglected. A doctor gave evidence that was subject to heart disease, and in his opinion she was overtaken by an attack while climbing the stairs and fell, fracturing her skull. George Tinline Budden, a nephew of deceased, gave evidence that she was a very strong-willed woman who resented any interference in her affairs. He had been powerless to do anything in her interests. It is estimated that the furniture and art treasures in her house are valued at £50,000.
