MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
NEW PLYMOUTH SITTING. A sitting of the Magistrate’s Court was held at New Plymouth yesterday, Mr. R. W. Tate, S.M., presiding. An application by C. N- Sownian for a default order against Leslie Rowson was adjourned for a month in order to give the parties an opportunity of coming to some arrangement. An supplication by Lottie Mary Harrison for a maintenance order against her husband was refused. Judgment for plaintiff by default for the amounts indicated was given in the following undefended civil cases: Taranaki Trade Association, Ltd., v. Tonia Rua. £5 (costs, £1 13s 6d); W. Harris v. R. H- Early, 15s (8s); John Avery, Ltd., v. On Kee Chong and Co. £l310s 6d (£2 14s); W. C. Weston v. Tarata Rona, £6 10s (£2 Is 6d). On a judgment summons, Edward F. Giddy was ordered to pay Stanley W. Sadler tho sum of £7 14s forthwith, in default seven days* imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as defendant pays off the debt at the rate of £1 10s a week.
