OPERATIONS FOR TWELVE MONTHS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Oct. 10, 11.45 p.m. London, Oct. 0. The Pacific Cable Board’s report to March 31 shows that the total .raffic receipts were £453,596, a decrease when compared with the previous year of £Bl,416, which is attributed partly to the loss of American business and partly to reduced rates.
The excess of receipts over expenditure was £149,770, of which £70,144 was allocated to the reserve and renewal fund which consequently stood at £2,313,971.
About 11,900,000 words of international paying traffic were handled, which is about the same as in the previous year. The full rate traffic decreased by 570,000 words but the deferred messages, daily letter telegrams and week-end telegrams *»<! also Government business increased.
