HIGH SCHOOL OLD GIRLS’ EFFORT. A further attraction to seekers of second-hand clothes was the annual sale of the New Plymouth High School Old Girls’ Association on Saturday. As on previous occasions the Workers’ Social Hall had been decorated and the stalls well stocked. To permit of an inspection being made the hall was opened in the morning and despite the weather a number of people took advantage of the opportunity offered. It was a bedraggled crowd that at 2 o’clock awaited in the pouring rain the opening of the doors, but once inside it did not take them long .to relieve the stalls of their burdens and by doing so augment considerably the association’s funds .
