Garrard, of Christchurch* Brigadier Walter Winton, of Dunedin, well known throughout New Zealand and Australia as the "Digger Padre” of Codford, is now in England, with Mrs, Winton' and their two children. Fol{ four years he served with the New Zea« landers, and he was the first ehaplaiu captain to be sent Home with the forces. He is now attached to International Headquarters, Queen Victoria Street, London, and his business will be to travel the various parts of the United Kingdom on the Salvation Army work for which General Booth selected him. Brigadier Winton has been created an M.B.E.
