Julian and E. Jackson; riders’ steward, Mr. C. Roebuck; Avenue Road stewards, Messrs. J. Hallam, R. Day and D. Mansfield; protest committee. Messrs. A. George, J. McLeod and E. L. Humphries; riders’ room steward, Mr. C. Sadler; programme committee, Mr: O. George, With “power to add; gates’ steward, Mr. F. J. Hill, with power to add; official cars, Messrs. G. Mclsaacs and F. Gable. Feeding station officials: Okato, Mr. C. R. Larson; Rahotu, Messrs. Quickendon (2); Opunake, Mr. G. Gunson; Kaponga, Mr. A. Melville; -Eltham, Mr. H. A. Nuttall; Midhirst, Mr. P. Harkness; Inglewood, Mr. W. Eagar. The Amateur Athletic Association will arrange for its own officials to supervise the cross-country events. Decisions arrived at were that the borough and county councils should be asked for permission to use the roads, and the Taranaki Jockey Club for the use of the jacecourse; that Mrs. Blewman be asked to supply refreshments for the riders; that officials should be sent to Eltham and Stratford to sell programmes and supervise the arrangements; that the Citizens’ Band be asked to provide music at the racecourse. The Jockey Club is to be asked if it will permit the holding of motor-car

Strong exception was taken to the practice of some motorists in going out to meet the riders and driving alongside them. The local inspectors are to be asked to act in the matter, and the cooperation of the officials was promised in securing charges against offenders. Mr. J. Sceats presided at the meeting.
