At the Stadium Teddy Murton defeated Billy Grime in the seventeenth round, when Grime was disqualified for landing a foul punch, which floored the Englishman. Murton established a comfortable lead on points, but in the last two rounds was severely punished. CHAMBERS BEATS PURDY ON FOUL By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The boxing contest between C. Purdy and W. Chambers, for a purge of £2OO, came to an unsatisfactory ending in the ninth round, the verdict going to Chambers on a foul.
