AUCKLAND FISHERMEN.
NEW WAGES AGREEMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The danger of serious disagreement in regard to claims made by the men employed in vhe fishing industry has been averted by an agreement with the employers including an all-round increase in wages of 5s per week with the overtime rate increased from 2s 6d to 2s 9d per hour, while in some classes of work overtime is rated at 3s 6d per hour. The agreement also provides for 108 hours ashore, instead of 96 hours as hitherto, each four weeks.
