CHARGE AGAINST SOLICITOR.
ALLEGATION GF THEFT. By Telegraph.—Press Associativa. Dunqdin, Sept. 1. A young solicitor, whose name in the meantime has been suppressed, was charged in the Magistrate’s Court with the theft at Auckland of £6OO, the property of Margaret Wood. The police stated that other informations were pending which, according to the accused’s own statement, might involve £sooo. On counsel seeking bail when the accused wag remanded to appear at Auckland on September 8, the police stated that it was suggested that the accused had spoken of suicide. Bail of £5OO was given, the accused to report to the police daily.
