OPUNAKE HARBOUR.
HARBOUR BOARD BORROWING A PETITION THAT FAILED. “NO RECOMMENDATION.” (By Wire—Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. Recently a petition by J. 8. Tosland and 161 others, praying that the borrowing powers of the Opunake Harbour Board should be curtailed, was presented to Parliament. It was referred to a committee, which reported yesterday that “as the matter was being dealt with by Cabinet, and as it was also a matter of policy, the committee bad no recommendation to make.”
