Kay, H. A. Hunt, W. Pettigrew, C. Mcl. Young, J. Parrish, J. C. Robins. D. M. Clark, E. 11. Linnell, D. O’Sullivan. It was decided not to accede to a recommendation from the New Zealand Friesian Association advocating that dry cows visibly in calf be eligible for championship classes, but the matter will come’up for discussion at a future date. A sale of pigs and sheep will be held at 10 o'clock on the second day of the show’. There will be no sale of cattle and horses.

For the convenience of exhibitors in making their entries, the novice classes in the Jersey section will be grouped together. After a long discussion on the weightguessing competition, it was decided Io increase the prize money and to offer a wristlet watch to the lady guessing nearest to the correct weight of the bullock. A class for bull and female born since July 1, 1925, and one for a heifer calf born since July 1, 1926, will be included in the Friesian section. Mr. A. Stewart was appointed parade marshal and the Rev. J. L. A. Kayll, chairman of the junior section. GENERAL ITEMS. The programme for the Scottish Society's concert (Thursday) which comprises talent such as Miss Marjory Allomes, Mrs. Weir, Mr. J. Lamb, Miss Rogers, Mr. Duncan, the famous I/lkington troupe, and that well-known humorist Mr. J. Davidson Baxter, ensures the success of the function. It can safely be said that to-night’s concert will eclipse all other efforts of the society. The box plan is filling rapidly and patrons will be well advised to secure their seats at once.
