TRADE WITH THE ISLANDS.
NEW MOTORSHIP ORDERED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Aug. 10. The Government has signed a contract for delivery next year, at a cost of £35,000, of a motor-driven steamer of 950 tons for the Island trade and administration. The vessel will have accommodation for a limited number of passengers and special facilities for the carriage of fruit.
