“I SHALL REIGN AGAIN.”

THE EX-KAISER’S BOAST HIS MEMOIRS CAUSE STIR. HOSTILITY TO PRINCE. POLITICAL CRISIS FEARED. By Telegraph—Pres. Assn.—Copyright Received June 11, 12.45 a.m. London, June 10. The Daily News says prominent Germans are apprehensively awaiting the publication of the ex-Kaiser’s memoirs, which, it is feared, will result in a political crisis. It transpires that there was almost an open breach between the ey-Kaiser and the Crown Prince in 1923, owing to the Monarchists demanding that the ex- ■ Kaiser abdicate in favour of “Little Willie” in the event of the Republicans being overthrown. The ex-Kaiser thereupon secretly intrigued in Germany with the assistance of Ludendorff, thus splitting the Monarchist Party. He has also refused to allow the exCrown Prince or the Monarchists to read his memoirs prior to their publication, which is causing a fear that the memoirs include revelations of postwar events, which the ex-Kaiser previously’ promised not to publish. Monarchists have burgled the printer’s premises and stolen the rough proofs which confirmed their suspicions of what the memoirs contained in three suppressed chapters, the first, entiled “I Shall Reign Again,” detailing the Monarchists’ activities; the second declaring that Hindenburg accepted the Presidentship with the idea of assisting the exKaiser to regain the throne; and the third, entitled "A Son’s Perfidy,” consisting of. an astounding outburst against the ex-Crow-n Prince.

It is believed that the memoirs accuse prominent Republicans of supporting the Monarchists in their effort to persuade the ex-Kaiser to withdraw the book. If he refuses it is believed the Government will suppress the memoirs.
