CHILDREN’S NARROW ESCAPE
FIRE AT MOUNT ROSKILL. By Telegraph—Press Assoclatloa Auckland, May 0. A fire in a six-roomed house at Mount Roskill, owned and occupied by Thomas Stone, at one o’clock this morning resulted in three rooms being gutted. Two children, aged three and four years, were asleep when a neighbour, R. H. Wood, crawled through the smoke to their bedroom, wrapped them in a sheet, and carried them to his home safely.
