Matthews (Hamilton) leaves by the same ship. • ♦ * * Miss Dorothy Lena, as ‘’Flora” in **Leave it to Jane,” comes with a big reputation in musical comedy and 1 will make her first appearance at the New Plymouth Opera House on Saturday, the 20th inst. She is petite, dark eyed and vivacious, and like many other musical comedy actresses, has passed through a preliminary training in vaudeville, and for twto and a-half years played in this class of work in America. She next appeared at-a London vaudeville theatre with Albert de Courville. Miss Lena wa 8 playing at the Prince of Wales Theatre when J. C, Williamson, Ltd. approached her concerning a visit to Australia and New Zealand. Miss Mona Barlee is also one of the *stars'' - in J.C. Williamson's Company. Not bad for 19. for the stage is a hard task, master ana young people db not get big jobs as a rule. She is small, demure and charming, her hair is a deep brown, shingled in just the very latest mode; her teeth are a delightful feature She dressy quietly and likes pcarU. ENGAGEMENTS.
