Wheatley, ex-Cabinet Minister, is claiming £3OOO damages for slander from the publisher of the Glasgow Eastern. Argus, also £3OOO from Mr, Miller, his political opponent, in connection with a letter published in tho Argus allegedly charging him with dishonesty, crookedness, meanness and displaying excessive interest in. the convicted Communists. The action follows Mr. Wheatley’s challenge of £lo*oo to anyone to publish the unfounded rumours circulating in Glasgow,
