THE PEOPLE'S “THE SPEED KING” Richard Talmadge, who has been called a second Fairbanks and whose popularity is increasing, interprets a delightful role in this great Exhibitors Alliance film. At all times debonair, his liveliness, recklessness and rare personality are continually gaining new laurels. “The Speed King” is matched against the world's champion riders mounted on the world's champion motorcycles. and the action of the story, always fast and exciting, becomes at times most intense and finishes with a dramatie and thrilling climax. On the same programme is a most wonderful sports pictorial showing world’s ehampions at field events. All of our local athletes and sports should on no account miss this. To-morrow's programme is headed by another speed picture, “The Speed Spook,” with Johnny Hines.
EVERYBODY’S. “LORRAINE OF THE LIONS.” “Lorraine of the Lions.” a UniverstalJewel. is the feature picture now playing at Everybody’s. So completely free from any plot ideas ever utilised before, and so filled with unusual incidents, the story was made into the big release of the current season by Universal. With thrills, heart throbs and delicate comedy interwoven, the story is declared to be one of the strangest and most original ever written for the screeij, Norman Kerry is starred with Patsy Ruth Miller playing opposite him. The story of the play concerns a sort of feminine Tarzan, who is shipwrecked on a deserted island at the age of seven. She mows up with the animals and is rescued after twelve years, taking a huge gorilla, back to civilisation with her. The experiences encountered in the city and the actions of the gbvfl’.a make this an amazinffly accurate portiaj’al of animal psychology. To all lovers of animals this filin’will appeal with great charm.
