THE OUTLOOK FOR BUTTER.

Reports from Wellington concerning the prospect of a serious slump in butter are not borne out by the latest advices received from London regarding advances. According to information received in New Plymouth yesterday, the advances of Is 5d per lb. for butter and Bld for cheese, current last month, are to be continued this month. It is considered that there may be a slight depression after the New Year, but as yet "there is nothing to indicate anything in the nature of a serious slump.
