CIVILISATION AND CANCER.
“GET BACK TO NATURE.” London, Nov. 17. Dr. Hastings Gilfoyd, addressing the Royal Institute of Public Health, said that civilisation was one of the causes of cancer. They should get back to nature. The Australian. African and American aboriginals, despite brutal mismanagement at birth, and exposure to the sun, and the excessive use of alcohol and tobacco, said Dr. Gilford, remained almost free from cancer. Modern man’s failure to exercise his digestive organs was responsible for many diseases.
