STRUCK BY TRAIN.
CHILD SERIOUSLY INJURED. By, Telegraph.—Press Association. ‘ Wellington, Last Night. There '.was an accident on the railway at Tawa: Flat this morning. Joan Phillips, aged 2 years . and 4 months, st raved on to the railway line about 200 yaras sohth of Tawa Flat station and v.as struck by the engine of the train Which was on its way from Palmerston to Wellington. The child was immediately brought to Wellington and admitted to the hospital. The authorities report that the injuries to her : head and fkee are feerious.
