ACCUSED ACQUITTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The trial of Jas. Bridge on a (marge of manslaughter, arising out of th® death of Mrs. Mary McKenzie at Onehunga on August 13, when a motor truck ran into a tramway shelter shed, concluded in the Supreme Court to-day. The jury found accused not guilty of manslaughter, and, with regard to the allegation of negligent driving, said they were prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt as to the speed of the truck and return a verdiet of not guilty. They recommended that the shelter shed should be reipoved being a danger to the travelling public.
