WHITELEY CHURCH.

FINE NEW ORGAN. •Negotiations that have been taking place for some considerable' time with respect to the purchase of a new organ for the Whiteley Methodist Church. New Plymouth, have now reached finality, and an order has been placed with the firm of E. W. Lawton, Aberdeen, for an instrument which will cost £1790. It U hoped that the erection, of the organ will be completed, in about a year’s time. A sum of no less than £195 lias been contributed to the new organ fund by the Whiteley Church choir, and a number of generous contributions from individual well-wishers has brought the total sum in hand and promised up to £lOOO. It is expected that about £3OO will be received from sources other than individual contributions, so that the balance still to be raised is not a large one. The instrument is the Whiteley Church peopled memorial to the members of the church, who fell in the Great War.
