MONEY FOR AUSTRALIA.

STATES RAISING LOANS. rfy Tr‘h :: ;inn —Utexs Assn. —Cnp? rlciu. Received. Oct. 7, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 6. Owing to the flotation this week of three British municipal loans, aggregating £28,000.000 and another trustee stock issue next week, the Australian loans referred to yesterday have been deferred, possibly for a fortnight. It is understood that the withdrawal of the Premier of New South Wales (Mr. J. T. Lang) from the loan council, under which the States agree to a rotation of loans, placed New South Wales at a disadvantage, loan preference being given the other States.
