GOLD FROM BRITAIN.
EXPORT TO UNITED STATES. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received Oct. 7, 9.15 p.m. New York. Oct. 6. The first substantial export movement of gold from London here since Britain’s return to the gold standard is under way. Engagements of four million dollars of British gold are announced by three New York banks, which found it profitable to buy metal through London correspondents in foreign exchange transactions.
