DEPARTMENTAL CHANGE. (By Wire—Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. Inquiries as to the filling of the position of Commissioner of Taxes vacated by Mr. D. G. Clark have led the Hon. W. Nosworthy to issue a statement that the land and income tax branch is to be constituted a separate department of State under one head, and that the land and deeds and stamp duties branches will also be constituted a separate department under one head. It is understood that the appointments will he made at an early date by the Public Service Commissioner.
