STUDY OF ASTRONOMY.
NEW PLYMOUTH SOCIETY. The annual meeting of the New Plymouth Astronomical. Society was held last night, Mr. Q. H. Dolby presiding over a fair attendance. The report and balance-sheet, showing that the society was in a sound financial position, there being about £l9 in hand, were adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, Dr. Home (re-elected); executive council, Messrs. A. G. Johnson, F, J. Morehead. T. M. Avery (re-elected) and C. G. Bottrill; hon. director and secretary, Rev. 0. Blundell; assistant secretary, Mr. F. G. Morehead; treasurer, Mr. T. M. Avery. An Interesting paper on astronomical matters was read by the Rev. 0. Blundell during the meeting.
