ELTHAM NEWS.
PLUNKET SOCIETY. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The monthly meeting of the Plunket Society was held on Tuesday afternoon, when there were nine members of the committee present, Mrs. Hawken (the president) taking the chair. Several apologies for absence were received. The nurse’s report for the month of June was as follows: —Visits to rooms, adults 71, babies 84; visits to homes, 42; new cases 8. Accounts for £lB 7s 2d were passed for payment. Mrs. Thompson was elected a member of the society. Mrs. Hardwick Smith forwarded a donation of £2 2e. The secretary reported that the amount paid in for the diminishing tea up to date was £5.
