BOOM IN RUBBER.
RECORD PRICE TOUCHED. RATE STILL ADVANCING. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received July 11, 5.6 p.m. London, July 11. Rubber is still advancing and has reached a record price tor recent years of four shillings a pound. Quotations as far ahead as 1927 are now given as 2s 2d a pound. The inevitable result has been a revival in rubber shares, which gives an indication of developing into a real boom. The only check to wider dealings that that at present taking place is a scarcity of shares. Genuine holders are unwilling to .sell out even at the current advanced prices. It is anticipated that a continuance of the present “bullish” market will result tn tfio creation of numerous new rubber companies and probably a boom reminiscent of that of 1910.
