EVERYBODY’S. “THE SUNSET TRAIL.” A Universal Western feature “The Sunset Trail” with William Desmond and Gareth Hughes starred headed the programme Which opened last night at Everybody’s theatre. The supporting films include a two reel century comedy entitled "Looking Down,” a star comedy, and International news reel. Everybody’s orchestra played a pleasing programme of incidental music. The programme shows again to-night and finally tomorrow night. Seats may be reserved at Collier’s. As a special attraction, and in addition to the usual picture programme. Everybody’s theatre management have arranged for the Sunset Male Quartette to appear on Thursday, Friday and Saturday oi this week. This quartette have just completed a successful season at Auckland’s leading picture houses and will make only three appearances during their stay in New Plymouth. Box plans for the season are row open at Collier’s. THE PEOPLE’S. “COLLEEN OF THE PINES.” The feature attraction on the new programme at the People’s theatre to-, night and to-morrow is "Colleen of the Pines,” an outdoor romance with Jane Novak starred. The locale is m the wilderness of the Canadian Northt-west and the action moves swiftly through tall pine forests and picturesque mountain scenery. The story is one of self-sacrifice and* tells oi an elder sister who carries the burden of a mistake committed by her younger sister. From this point the plot is unfolded in a most pleasing manner. The supporting programme includes "Rough on Romeo” (comedy), “The Farmer and the Ostrich” (cartoon), and two Pathe Gazettes. Admission prices at The People’s theatre are: Stalls 9d. and dress circle Is, 3d. The attraction for next Thursday* and .Friday is "%juibs’ Honeymoon,” a British production starring Betty Balfour. Saturday and Monday bring Tom Mix in “The Deadwood Coach.”
