At the admiral’s inspection on board the Seattle this morning Admiral Counts tcld the officers and men something about the fleet's cruise in 1908. A favoxiraible impression was created by tha personnel and appearance of the ship* and the smartness of the enlisted men. The admiral commented on the cordiality of the Australian and New Zealand reception and the delightful timu spent by the Americans, and he impressed upon the esew the necessity for deserving the welcome which waa impending. The admiral described the interesting trips throughout Australia afforded even enlisted men in 1908, and the real educational value these excursions offered. Admiral Coontz concluded by calling upon the men present not only to be smart, of clean exit appearance, and to maintain the reputation of their ships upon their arrival in Australia and New Ztaland, but to exhibit a line spirit to conform with the fine spirit of tlie Australians and New Zealanders.
