INDECENT ASSAULT.

TWELVE MONTHS’ PROBATION. By Telegraph —Press Association. Gisborne, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day Harold Dunean McLaren, charged with attempted rape or alternately indecent assault or common assault, was found guilty oi indecent assault, the jury adding* a strong recommendation to leniency on account of the circumstances leading to the assault. The accused was sentenced to twelve months’ probation and was ordered to pay the costs of the prosecution.
