PREMIERS OF EMPIRE.
> DIRECT COMMUNICATION. ARRANGEMENT STILL HOLDS. By Tele<ra.ph.—Press Assb.—Copyright. Received June 18, 7.45 p.m. London, June 17. Replying in the House of Commons to Colonel G. Greiten (Conservative), the Prime Minister (Mr. Stanley Baldwin) •aid the arrangement for direct communl•ution and consultation between the Prime Minister of Britain and the Prime Minister® of the Dominions had not been discontinued. The announcement that it was intended to appoint a Secretary of State for the Dominions in no wise modified or conflicted with the desire which the Prime Ministers of the Empire expressed in 1918 for direct communication. The circumstance in which direct communication between the Prime Ministers occurred were clearly indicated in the resolutions of the Imperial War Cabinet of 1918, which were confirmed by the conference of 1921 and remained in force.
