At the Eastbourne tenuis tournament in the doubled Britain defeated America, Godfree and Wheatley beating Hennessey and Casey 4—>6, 6—4, 11 —0, 4 —6, 6—3. Britain leads by two matches to one. MID-PACEFW TOURNEY. Received June I<B, 5.5 p.m. Honolulu, June 17. Harvey Snodgrass (Los Angeles) and Richard Cooke (Honolulu) won the midPacific tennis doubles. They will also contest the singles title. SEEDED DRAW AT WIMBLEDON. Received June 18, 5.5 p.m. London, June 17. Following the principle adopted in W24, the Wimbledon draw was seeded, the most fancied competitors being placed in a separate section. The seeded New Zealanders are Fotheringham, Nicholson, Salmond, Melody and Mrs. Melody.
