THE BOARD'S ABPREX?IATION The Awakino-Mokau Medical Association has forwarded the Waikato Hospital Board a cheque for £ll3 17s 9d as the Association’s quarterly contribution for the nurse’s salary, and £BB 17s 9d as half share of the cost of additions and repairs to the hospital oo“ttage.

In an accompanying communication the secretary of the Association said that the cottage was now completed, and that a good job had been made, there being a cottage hospital that the settlers were proud of. The building was fitted up with every convenience and fit for any nurse to. live in. The Board passed a resolution expressing appreciation of the voluntary efforts of the settlers of the district, and said that their means to raise finance to obtain the services of a nurse and have a cottage hospital were to be highly commended.
