WATERLOO BRIDGE.

BIG SPAN PUT IN POSITION. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 17, 5.'5 p.m. London, June 16. The first stage of the reconstruction of Waterloo Bridge was successfully accomplished. Four hours* work sufficed to move the six hundred tons span into position. Although the span is only 280 feet, compared with 350 feet or the central span of the Forth Bridge, it is probably the largest ever moved laterally in Britain.
