TARANAKI SESSIONS. OPENING ON TUESDAY NEXT. FAIRLY HEAVY CALENDAR. A fairly heavy calendar of criminal and civil business will face Mr. Justice . Alpers when the quarterly Taranaki sessions of the Supreme Court open at lff) W 011 Tuesday next (May Eight persons will stand their trial. Three are accused of breaking, entering and theft; one of procuring abortion; one of indecent assault and indecent acts; one of manslaughter; one of indecent assault; and one on two charges of false pretences. The fifteen cases on the civil list are all set down for hearing before the judge alone. In four cases the Native Trustee and others are cited as plaintiffs, seeking damages of varying ; amounts for alleged breaches of coven- ■ ant. On the divorce list are seven cases. I Four of these are petitions for dissolution of marriage, one a petition for restitution of conjugal rights, one a petition for reduction of maintenance, and one a motion for a decree absolute.
