TENNIS PLAYER’S MISFORTUNE. By Telegraph—-Pre** Asgoclation. Napier, Last Night. Mr. Jim Lowry, a son of Mr. T. H. Lowry, of Okawa, who hag received semiofficial advice of his selection as a member of the New Zealand Davis Cup team, today sustained serious injuries to his right thumb in a circular saw. It is" possible the thumb may have to be amputated, in which case his value as a member o f the team will be gone.
