DEATH FROM PNEUMONIA.

SEQUEL TO AN ACCIDENT. By Telegraph—Pretfs Association. Auckland, Last Night. An inquest concerning the death of Arthur Judd, aged 73, of Maungaturoto, who died in the Auckland hospital on Sunday from pneumonia, following his admission with a fracture of the left ankle and shock through being knocked down by a motor van while stepping off a tramcar, was continued to-day.

William Albert Judd said his father also told him the driver was not to blame, and asserted that the accident occurred through his trying to avoid a child with a trolley. It meant either knocking him down or killing the child. The inquest was adjourned pending medical evidence.
